Pierce – the American College of Greece was founded in 1875 in Smyrna in Asia Minor. It is one of the biggest and rich in tradition and history schools of Europe. It is a private, non-profit educational institution of secondary education that is equivalent to Greek public Junior and Senior High Schools.

Its experienced teaching staff consists of teachers with postgraduate and doctoral studies that guide students in the path of knowledge and create future scientists, artists, citizens and leaders of the world.

Some important characteristics of education at Pierce are:

  • The triple percentage of students awarded a degree with Honours compared to the respective percentage at a national level
  • The acceptance of its graduates at leading universities in Europe and the US for their studies.
  • An excellent learning environment with modern teaching, research and sports facilities as well as a variety of extracurricular activities and the excellent level of English.

The educational innovation of Pierce is also founded with its certification as an IB World School that will start functioning from September 2016.

Pierce works together with EPAFOS since 1998. The transfer of the school’s computerised systems to the new generation SIMPLE and SO SIMPLE applications was recently completed.

More specifically, the core of SIMPLE was installed at PIERCE school for the management of all school activities and other extra modules for the automatization of teachers’ tasks and updates sent to parents and guardians.

For PIERCE, SIMPLE is not just a management system for the educational organisation, but also the innovative platform that will allow the school to adopt new ways of operation with the integrated, direct and constant communication between parents, students, teachers and administrative staff being its ultimate aim.
